Welcome! My Name is Cory Jackson, creator of insidethegrooves.com. Growing up in Buffalo, New York, my father would play his favorite artists throughout the house at any time of the day. From an early age, I was exposed to the great classic rock artists my Dad had grown up with such as Bob Dylan and The Beatles.

Eventually when I was old enough to form my own musical tastes, my dad would take me to a record shop named Revolver Records (now closed) on main street Buffalo. It was here where my music interest boomed, and I realized I want music to be an integral part of my life. I also started a record collection with the money I saved from whatever money I could scrap together at the time. Little by little my collection grew, all the while becoming more expansive. I still collect to this day, with my collection now containing upwards of 500 albums.

I consider myself to be a fan of almost every genre and era of music. From the early Jazz albums of Miles Davis and John Coltrane, to the classic rock of the Rolling Stones and Neil Young, to the electric pop sounds of Prince and Michael Jackson, all the way up to the polarizing rap figures of Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott.

This website, simply put, is made by a music lover, for the music lover. My hope is that everyone finds something on this site that they are interested in, and if not, they start a conversation about it. On my site, you will find reviews, previews and playlists of music I am listening to, as well as information about the best setups and gear for you to start your own collection. Happy Listening!
